
Colleen Tuttle CHAIR (Retired) Hi! My name is Colleen Tuttle I am an Elementary school Counselor at Lemmon Valley in Washoe County School District. I have been a counselor for 16 Years and have been in Middle and Elementary Levels. I am starting my 3rd year on the NVSCA board and have held PD committee chair and Asst. Chair positions. This year I am you NVSCA Chair A few fun facts about me are: I have 8 Grandkids, 5 boys and 3 girls. I have 3 children, all married 2 boys and 1 girl. I love to ride Roller Coasters and go to Disney and Universal Studios in Orlando. I try to travel every year to some where I have never been. Hello, my name is Zaira Diaz, and I was born and raised in Reno, Nevada. This is my second year serving on the Nevada School Counselor Association Board, and I am honored to serve as the Co-Chair this year. I currently work as a High school counselor in Washoe County, and this is my fourth year as a school counselor overall. I began my school counseling career at my high school alma mater! I have two adorable fur babies (they are quite popular on Instagram!) and this year I am getting married to my wonderful fiancĂ©. I look forward to traveling more this year. I’m excited to continue serving alongside such dedicated professionals and look forward to seeing how we can grow, collaborate, and continue strengthening our association together! |
Michelle King Secretary (Retired)
Hi, my name is Michelle King, and this is my third year on the Nevada School Counselor Association Board and my third year to serve as Secretary. It is a privilege to learn more about our profession, connect with amazing people, and serve our Nevada school counselor members. I was born in Austin, Texas, grew up in southern New Mexico, and have called Nevada home for the past 26 years. Before becoming a school counselor, I was a math teacher for 21 years (all in CCSD). I earned my B.S. in Secondary Mathematics Education, (UNM, 2000), and my Masters in Education in Curriculum and Instruction in Secondary Mathematics, (UNLV, 2007). I earned my Masters in School Counseling, (TUN, 2020), and started my school counseling career in 2021. I was the school counselor at Earl N. Jenkins Elementary School, in Las Vegas, Nevada, for the past five years and recently retired in May 2026. I am happily married to my husband, Jed, and we celebrated our 29th anniversary this summer. We are the proud parents of two daughters (21 and almost 25), who currently live in Denver, Colorado. In my spare time, I love to travel. crochet, try new restaurants, do yoga, watch television, and spend time with our daughters, family, and friends! I am proud to serve our members by being on the NvSCA Board. I encourage all members to serve on a committee or run for election to the Board. Being actively engaged is what makes our association thrive! | Teresa Schultz Treasurer (Legacy HS-Clark County School District) Hello! I am so excited to be a new member of the NvSCA Board of Directors. This is my 7th year as a school counselor and 19th year in education, all in the Clark County School District. I am originally from New Jersey but moved to Las Vegas in search of the wonderful summer heat. I have a wonderful husband, Jeremy, and 2 sons. Jaden is in his first year at UNR and Timothy is in 7th grade. |

Elise Johnson Executive Board Member (Lyon County) Hi! My name is Elise Johnson and this year I am serving as the Assistant Chair for the Nevada School Counselor Association. I have been on the board now for a year and a half and am excited for what the future holds for NVSCA and its amazing members. I was born and raised in Carson City, Nevada, I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2012, and then completed my Masters in School Counseling at the University of South Florida in Tampa, in 2017. I currently live in Carson City, and I am a school counselor at Sutro Elementary School in Lyon County. In my spare time I volunteer for the Junior League Non Profit Organization, I hike with my dog, Milo, and spend time with my friends and family! | Alyssa LoBello Executive Board Member (Clark County) Hello, My name is Alyssa LoBello and I am thrilled to be a member of the NvSCA Board. I was born in Washington D.C. but was raised in Las Vegas. I received my Bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in human services from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). In 2016, I moved to Chicago where I began my teaching career as an assistant teacher at a private preschool. While in Chicago, I attended DePaul University and received my Master's in education with a concentration in school counseling. In 2021, I relocated to Las Vegas and became an elementary school counselor in the Clark County School District at William V. Wright Elementary School. It is a privilege to serve my second year on the NVSCA Board, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue supporting the organization's mission and the school counseling profession. I was born on the beautiful island of Jamaica, raised in the Bronx, New York, and have proudly called Las Vegas home for the past five years. I currently serve as the School Counselor at Tanaka Elementary School in the Clark County School District. My career in education began in the New York City Public Schools as a crisis paraprofessional. I later earned a Master's degree in School Counseling from Mercy College, followed by a Master's degree in Educational Leadership at St. Mary's University of Minnesota. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to advocating for students and fostering their academic, social-emotional, and career development. Outside of my professional role, I am a proud parent of two adult children, a five year old and a puppy named Bella. I enjoy traveling and spending quality time with my family. I look forward to another year of collaborating with my fellow board members, supporting our school counseling community, and contributing to the continued growth and success of the NVSCA. |
