Jeremy has also served on the NvSCA Board in 20-21 and would love to serve again if given the opportunity. | Kassie Griffith My name is Kassie Griffith. I have been a school counselor with CCSD for 17 years. Prior to moving to Las Vegas, I was a mental health counselor in Michigan for 8 years. When someone told me to do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life, I didn’t understand completely until I became a school counselor. I am a dog mom and enjoy volunteering in after school programs to help students grow academically and emotionally. When I am not volunteering, I am a lifelong learner, taking classes to better myself, as well as an avid adventurer. Over the years, I have presented at the NVSCA’s conference and served on the board as the South Co-Legislative Liaison in 2018-2019. I also was the co-chair of the planning committee for the annual conference. Additionally, I have served on the Other Licensed Personnel (OLP) Board with Clark County Education Association for several years. The aim of this board is to advocate for school counselors and similar job classes. If elected to the Board of Directors, my focus will be to continue to advocate for school counselors. |
Linda Massena Noel Candidate Video My name is Linda Massena-Noel, and I am the School Counselor at Gragson Elementary School in Clark County. I have been a school counselor for thirteen years, and I still find myself to be passionate about my profession and always willing to help. I really enjoy my role in encouraging all the children to strive for their personal best, and I extend this idea in my work as a CCSD Elementary School Mentorship Cadre member. I have made a difference in the lives of our local latino population by being an advocate and providing the resources needed to increase opportunities. I have been a NVSCA member since 2015, and am also an ASCA member. I have participated as an NVSCA Board member during the year of 2022-23, and I am running for re-election to the NVSCA Board of Directors for the coming year. During the past year I have led the NSCW committee (National School Counseling Week Committee), worked in collaboration with other board members to create NVSCA Policy Governance, and will soon be presenting at the NVSCA Conference. If you believe in a Board that works honestly and openly for all Members, I would appreciate your vote in the coming election. | Colleen Tuttle Candidate Video Hello, my name is Colleen Tuttle and I am running for a NVSCS Board of Directors position. I have been a counselor with the Washoe County School District for the past 14 years. I have worked in Middle schools and Elementary schools for most of my career. I feel strongly about helping the students and families in my schools and strive to provide a comprehensive program for them. I have been a strong advocate for community involvement, especially in the mental health area and have worked with two grants to implement mental health into the schools that I service. I have been involved with the NVSCS since I became a counselor and feel that it is highly needed in our profession to have an organization that can support and watch out for the counselors in this State of Nevada. We must have advocates for our profession working to make the necessary changes so that we can do our jobs to our best ability. I am strongly in favor of providing continuing education through classes, conferences, and social interactions between colleagues. Supporting each other and working to make our jobs more manageable is my key objective. If selected I will advocate and represent all our members to ensure you are heard and supported. Thank you for your support. |
