The Nevada School Counselor Association (NvSCA) is hosting our annual conference on March 3-4, 2023. We are seeking sponsors and donations to subsidize the cost of the conference, and also items to be used as raffle prizes, or promotional items to be given to registered participants in their bag.
By choosing to sponsor the conference, you will have the opportunity to have your organization advertised to 300 expected attendees, but also featured on our website of over 750 members!
There will be various levels of recognition given to participating businesses during the conference, depending on the level of donation, see below for that complete list.
NvSCA is a non-profit organization that represents school counselors in the state of Nevada. Its mission is to support school counselors' efforts to help students achieve success, by focusing on academic, emotional/social, and career/college readiness, so that they are prepared to lead fulfilling lives as responsible members of society.

Chris "Shoof" Scheufele A comedian with a license to teach. After more than a decade in the classroom, Chris began impacting schools and communities nationwide with the message of resilience and the power of the Golden Rule. He has developed clever tactics that resolve conflicts instantly, promote a culture of resilience, and help anyone simply understand various facets of CBT, REBT, and emotional regulation. He makes social emotional learning fun! His entertaining and educational programs have been recognized by educators nationwide, earning him a Teacher of the Year Award. |
![]() | Ashley Wright, School Counselor of the Year Finalist Born and raised in Houston, TX, Ashley Wright went through undergraduate studies as an Education Major at Sam Houston State University as well graduate studies as a Professional School Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor. She currently serves as an elementary school counselor in Conroe ISD at Annette Gordon-Reed Elementary. She has been an educator for the past 14 years and a school counselor for the past 5 years. As a previous classroom teacher for 9 years teaching grades Pre-K, 2nd, and 3rd, Ashley began to realize that students were having endless challenges that dealt with home, school, and with peers. In order to fully serve and connect with students campus wide and in her community, she went on to become a school counselor that would enable her to reach more students with social-emotional support and strategies/tools to enhance their resilience and relationships. Recently recognized as the 2022 American School Counselor of the Year Finalist and 2021 Texas School Counselor of the year, Ashley Wright continues to teach students to accept diversity, increase their self-esteem, build character, and maintain resilience. It her divine belief that “Every human being has the unlimited potential to make positive change in one’s life.” Ashley continues to implement a diverse comprehensive counseling program that is dedicated to meeting the needs of her students, staff and the community. From weekly counseling lessons, student leadership opportunities, student achievement awards, and educator/youth podcasts, Ashley brings enthusiasm and campus engagement throughout the entire school year. As an advocate for the school counseling profession, Ashley has also presented several national webinars with ASCA, the national WhyTry program, state counseling associations and Region Education Centers with counseling program implementation ideas, tools and strategies to increase student attendance/engagement, and school counselor self-care. She now has created a podcast called the "The Wright Compassion" for educators and our youth to keep all individuals uplifted and maintain their own resilience with everyday challenges. Overall, Ashley continues to influence other professional school counselors in their role and strives to create change in our education system. Review, Reflect, Reform Tired? Burned out? Overwhelmed?
